Our Values

DIVERSITY
We are made to be different, not the same. All our differences - in religion, identity, history, and experience - deserve honor and protection.

DEMOCRACY
Our country was built on the principle that all people should have a voice and a vote - and that we should each have equal power, in the decisions made by government that affect our lives.

HUMANITY
We support humane approaches to address issues like poverty, housing, criminal justice, workers' rights, voting rights, reproductive rights, immigration, and health care - treating people like people, not like numbers or commodities.

We Show Up

at public and community events that align with our values, when the presence of the faith community is requested
at school boards, councils, and other open meetings of government officials when our values are up for debate
for conversations with public officials, when their actions place our values under threat
to provide witness and support, when any community in Chester County is targeted by violence, harassment, or discrimination

Love Thy Neighbor Chester County includes:

members of 24 different religious communities across Chester County, including
Baptist, Episcopal, Lutheran, Mennonite, Methodist, non-denominational, Presbyterian, and United Church of Christ churches, local Islamic societies, Jewish synagogues, Quaker meetings, and Unitarian Universalist congregations.
